Every year, on 8/8, we celebrate the peak of the Lion’s Gate portal activation, and 2026 is no exception. However, Lion’s Gate is not an event confined to a single day, but rather a window of heightened energetic resonance that unfolds throughout several weeks and invites us to align with its frequency, to become a resonant match.
Between the months of July and August, Fixed Star Sirius, also known as our Spiritual Sun, the brightest star in the sky, rises in close proximity to the Sun. In Ancient Egypt, the heliacal rising of Sirius, its reappearance above the eastern horizon after a period of invisibility, signaled the return of the Nile’s waters and marked the start of the Egyptian New Year. This event is widely mentioned in myths and, back then, it was celebrated as a moment of rebirth, renewal, and abundance, as the water nourished the land, allowing food to grow.
For the past few weeks, we have been experiencing the sacred alignment between the Earth, the Sun, and Sirius. What is popularly known as Lion’s Gate is the combination of this Earth-Sun-Sirius alignment, a powerful Numerology, and the Sun’s presence in his home sign of Leo, which supports our ability to tap into the frequency and full expression of both the Astrological Sun and the Lion archetype.

The Numerology of 8/8/2026
According to the ancient science of Numerology, every Number holds a specific frequency, a unique vibration. Connected to the symbol of infinity and a reminder of the inevitability of cycles, the eternal dance of life, death, and rebirth, Number Eight is connected to abundance, manifestation, and inner authority and is considered to be the bridge between the material and the spiritual realms, between the visible and the invisible worlds.
When Number Eight appears twice, as it does on 8/8, its power is doubled. This is an invitation to align our inner visions with our outer actions, and to keep in mind that we are manifesting all the time: we are constantly manifesting and co-creating reality even when we are not aware we are doing so. As of 8/8/2026, both Jupiter and the Sun are in Leo, and Jupiter is synchronistically placed on the 8º of the sign of the Lion, a degree associated with creativity, artistic mastery, and the ability to manifest ideas into form.
In Leo, Jupiter magnifies our desire to create, to express ourselves authentically, and to take risks that allow us to follow the desires of our hearts. This combination of energies is an invitation to trust what asks to be expressed through us, to trust that the unique gifts we have are meant to be witnessed and shared. It is a reminder that growth comes not from becoming someone else but from choosing to fully inhabit who we are, to live from our True Self.
On August 8, 2026, the Lord of Abundance is powerfully activated, as he is aligned with several celestial bodies. Still separating from an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius, Jupiter is also forming harmonious aspects with Uranus in Gemini as well as Neptune and Saturn in Aries.
For the past month, the Jupiter-Pluto opposition has asked us to find creative ways to solve the tension between our urge to pursue our personal desires and self-actualization and the pressure to fulfill collective needs and be an active participant in our communities. We had chances to reflect on how to honor both our authenticity and our need for belonging, and how to feel part of something greater than ourselves without compromising our individuality. As Jupiter continues to move forward through Leo, new insights about recent events may become available.
Jupiter is also separating from a sextile to Uranus and a trine to Neptune, and approaching an exact trine to Saturn. Throughout the entire month of July, Jupiter’s alignments to Uranus and Neptune have fueled a surge of grand, unconventional visions, bold ideas, and a desire to expand in new directions.
During August, Saturn’s activation is inviting us to bring these visions and ideas down to earth, act on them, and develop them in practical ways. The Jupiter-Saturn trine inspires us to build structures that support our growth, asking us to get practical and commit to what it takes to manifest the reality we envision on the 3D plane.
The Transpersonal Planets & a Beautiful Kite Pattern
On August 8, 2026, we are also experiencing a beautiful Kite pattern involving a Venus-Neptune opposition in Libra and Aries, a Neptune-Pluto sextile, and a Uranus-Neptune sextile.
These sextiles between the three transpersonal planets have been active for several weeks and will continue to be active throughout the whole calendar year, opening new doors for humanity’s transformation and coloring the collective atmosphere with greater openness to change. Together, they support the emergence of new visions that will reshape social paradigms and determine the future of collective evolution.
While the alignment of Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto inspires us to dream beyond existing limitations, the Venus-Neptune opposition asks us to balance idealism with discernment, particularly in relationships. Rather than getting lost in fantasy, we are being encouraged to stay grounded in reality while letting our imagination inspire us.
This Kite pattern suggests that the evolutionary shift fueled by Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto can find tangible expression through Venus. The people we meet, the relationships we cultivate, the values we embody, and the way we make an income and exchange resources around this time can become catalysts for both personal and collective change.
