Scorpio Season 2026: the Path of Transformation
On October 23, 06:37 AM —
On October 23, 2026, 05:38 AM EST, the Sun leaves Libra, and Scorpio season 2026 begins. The Sun in Scorpio illuminates the path of transformation: this time of the year reminds us that what remains unconscious continues to influence us and shape our lives, often in ways we cannot immediately see. It offers us an opportunity to meet ourselves more fully and become more honest about what we fear, what we desire, what we need, and what it is time to let go of in order to keep growing.
The Sun’s ingress and transit through Scorpio is particularly significant for those of us born with planets or angles in Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius). These people are entering a season of their life deeply focused on transforming, shedding skin, and becoming aware of what needs to be released. They have an opportunity to gain more clarity about the unconscious forces driving their choices and begin to reclaim their power by bringing these into conscious awareness.
From Libra to Scorpio season: Going Deeper
Wherever the Sun transits, our attention goes: his yearly journey through the Zodiac wheel offers us an opportunity to bring awareness to different areas of our lives and dimensions of ourselves.
During Libra season, the spotlight was on our one-to-one interactions and on how the people in our lives mirror back to us something about ourselves. The Sun’s transit in Libra offered us an invitation to notice what is out of balance and where we need to restore harmony, fairness, and reciprocity.
While Libra is concerned with all kinds of relationships, partnerships, and agreements, Scorpio is connected to marriage, intimacy, and sexuality. In this stage of evolution, we go deeper and merge with others, becoming someone entirely new in the process. For this reason, Scorpio is connected to sex, death, and other people’s resources, and to how exchanging energy and resources with someone has the power to transform us deeply.
Scorpio season asks us to move beyond superficial relating and allow ourselves to be seen as we truly are, not just in our light but in our shadow too. This is a reminder that intimacy requires vulnerability, courage, and willingness to stop hiding: the Sun here shines a light on places we normally prefer to avoid, challenging us to share what is real, rather than only what is comfortable.
Scorpio season: the Path of Transformation
At its core, Scorpio is concerned with the cycles of life and all processes of death and rebirth. This sign teaches us that something needs to end in order for something new to begin, and asks us to learn how to recognize when something can no longer continue in its existing form. We continually outgrow old versions of ourselves, shed identities that no longer reflect who we are, and move through experiences that change us at a cellular level: this is Scorpio’s domain.
Scorpio season is a time to become more conscious of the ongoing journey of transformation we are on, and recognize what we need to release, how we are being asked to evolve, and in what ways we are being called to surrender at this very moment.
Ruled by Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld, Scorpio has to do with everything hidden, with the unconscious, with what we cannot immediately see or fully understand, including the deeper psychological processes that shape our lives. During the upcoming weeks, something we tried to avoid or sweep under the rug is likely to call our attention and require us to make a change.
Our focus naturally goes to the shadows, to what lies beneath the surface, and to the unconscious patterns, fears, desires, and emotional undercurrent that determine our and others’ behavior. This season is a time to question what really is driving our choices, why we attract certain kinds of people, and why certain experiences keep strangely repeating throughout our lives.
Scorpio season 2026: Upcoming Lunations
During Scorpio season 2026, we will experience a Full Moon in Taurus and a New Moon in Scorpio. The Taurus Full Moon coming up on October 26 may reveal to us the impact of our resistance to change, while challenging us to discern between what is time to let go of and what, instead, we need to hold on to. Conjunct with Chiron in the late degrees of Aries and squaring Pluto in Aquarius, this Full Moon may bring old wounds into the spotlight, while asking us to connect with a deeper sense of security, one that is not dependent on maintaining an illusion of external stability but rooted in trust in ourselves and our resilience.
A New Moon in Scorpio occurs on November 9, marking the start of a new chapter in our personal transformation process and asking us to consciously participate in it. This event emphasizes the intersection of endings and beginnings, reminding us of the need for something to come to completion in order to make space for the new. For renewal to occur, we need to first surrender what we have outgrown.
The New Moon’s square to Mars, Jupiter, and the South Node in Leo highlights the egoic and security attachments that are keeping us stuck in repetitive loops. This configuration brings our attention to our attachment to certain identities, personas, desires, roles, and to the need to be right, challenging us to recognize and release ways of being and expressing ourselves that prevent us from growing.
Scorpio season 2026: the Courage to Meet Ourselves
The first few days of Scorpio season 2026 will be colored by the Sun’s square to Pluto in Aquarius, which may bring to the surface fears and compulsions surrounding self-expression, being seen, and personal power. Together with the Taurus Full Moon, the Sun-Pluto square may confront us with uncomfortable questions about the identities we built to protect ourselves from pain and the ways we feel drawn to dominate, control, overpower, or need control over circumstances, other people, or even ourselves. This is an opportunity to recognize any fear of vulnerability that may be present in us, and become aware of the price we have to pay for living in this way.
Scorpio season asks us to reflect on what power is and what power is not, bringing the spotlight on the impact of power dynamics and the nature of the energetic exchanges at play in our lives, especially the covert ones. It encourages us to examine the deeper dimensions of our emotional and psychological experiences, as when we become conscious of the unconscious forces shaping our lives, we reclaim our power and agency.
The deeper lesson of Scorpio is that true power doesn’t come from controlling other people or our environment, nor from extreme forms of self-control, but rather from developing the courage to meet ourselves and life fully and wholly, without avoiding or suppressing what makes us feel uncomfortable or scared.
