On October 25, 07:49 AM —

On October 25, 2026, 05:10 AM EST, Venus retrogrades back into Libra after being retrograde since October 3. In her Air domicile, Venus retrograde offers us an opportunity to understand ourselves more deeply through the mirror that other people and our life experiences in general hold up to us. Venus will station direct on November 13, and remain in Libra until December 4. This is a time to pay close attention to the reflections that our relationships offer us, and notice what they reveal about us.

Venus’s retrograde period in Libra is particularly relevant for those of us born with planets or angles in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn), as well as Taurus, which is the other sign ruled by Venus. These people have an opportunity to reflect on what their relationships are showing them about themselves and mirroring back. Old feelings, unresolved issues, and past experiences may come to the surface again and come full circle, as they will be able to see familiar dynamics from a new perspective.

Venus retrograde: Reevaluation of our Relationships, Values, and Desires

When Venus appears to be moving backward through the Zodiac, we are being asked to turn inward and contemplate our heart’s desires. This is a time to reassess the state of our relationships as well as the way we relate to beauty, pleasure, and abundance. Venus’s retrograde period is a time of profound reevaluation of our values and desires, as well as an opportunity to deeply reflect on how matters of self-worth and self-love impact the rest of our lives and, especially, the quality of our relationships.

During this time, unresolved feelings, old desires, and relationship patterns that continue to repeat come into the spotlight, while people from our past may come back into our lives to give us opportunities for closure, allow us to see them from a new perspective, and truly understand what they are meant to teach us about ourselves.

Venus retrograde from Scorpio to Libra: Restoring Balance and Alignment with Truth

Venus’s recent retrograde through Scorpio offered us an opportunity to look at what is happening beneath the surface of our relationships. This has been a period of profound Soul-searching, introspection, and psychological self-exploration. Venus retrograde in Scorpio asked us to transform how we love. This transit initiated us into a new level of consciousness, challenging us to intentionally participate in relationships, rather than letting our unconscious patterns and unprocessed pain dictate our choices.

Moreover, Venus is currently invisible from our perspective, as she is undergoing her descent journey, transitioning from being an Evening Star to becoming a Morning Star. Her first day of visibility as a Morning Star is October 29. As Venus approaches the completion of her journey through the Underworld and returns to Libra, she asks us: now that you see all of this, how do you want to relate to the people in your life? What choices are necessary to restore balance? What sacrifices are you willing to make to align with the truths that have been coming to the surface?

Venus Retrogrades Back into Libra

Venus retrograde in Libra 2026: Mirrors and Reflections

Venus returning to Libra while still in retrograde motion is an opportunity to pay attention to what other people’s behavior toward us is telling us about us and what it mirrors. This transit reminds us of how our relationships with others reveal a lot about our relationship with ourselves, our self-worth, our level of self-love, as well as our values and what we believe we deserve. Looking at the people in our lives is a great way to understand ourselves and our blind spots better.

Instead of only focusing on what the other person is doing or what we want them to change, we are now given an opportunity to turn the mirror toward ourselves. We are being asked to deeply reflect on what we accept, tolerate, reject, and consent to, and why. We have chances to notice more clearly the imbalances that are present and that we somehow allow,  normalize, ignore, or complain about but still tolerate. This is a time to pay attention to the nature of the compromises that are present in our relationships, to how much we compromise, how much others compromise, and to evaluate the price of the unspoken agreements we make to keep the peace, or, maybe, the illusion of it.

The three Venus-Chiron oppositions & the three Venus-Jupiter sextiles

The Goddess of Love enters her home sign of Libra while opposing retrograde Chiron in Aries. Venus and Chiron perfected their first opposition on September 10, while Venus was direct in Scorpio and Chiron was at 0º Taurus. This alignment brought into the spotlight how old, unhealed wounds are influencing our ability to love and value ourselves in a way that allows us to attach securely to others.

Chiron retrograded back into Aries on September 17 and is now placed at 28º of the sign of the Ram. In Aries and Libra, the second Venus-Chiron opposition, exact on October 28, brings our attention to how we assert our personal identity, needs, and desires within relationships: it asks us to reassess how we can better honor our individuality while establishing a healthy interdependence with others.

The final Venus-Chiron opposition in Libra and Aries occurs on November 28, with Venus direct and Chiron still retrograde. This will be an opportunity to integrate everything that triggered our wounds during Venus’s retrograde period. The Venus-Chiron opposition of November 28 will ask us to develop a greater capacity to stay connected with ourselves and others simultaneously, and allow ourselves to be seen and met in our vulnerability.

Venus is also approaching her second of three sextiles to Jupiter in Leo. This alignment was exact for the first time on August 17 and will go exact again on November 4 and November 28. The three Venus-Jupiter sextiles are highlighting the role of relationships rooted in mutual appreciation and generosity as a source of expansion and meaning. These alignments remind us that when we surround ourselves with people who encourage, support, and celebrate who we are, our life blossoms and we can more easily embrace our authentic selves.

Venus retrogrades back into Libra: New Approaches and Perspectives

During the upcoming weeks, themes and issues that first emerged throughout Venus’s most recent transit through Libra, particularly between the second half of August and the first ten days of September, are likely to come up again, asking to be seen and approached from a new angle.

After the recent Venus Star Point at 0º Scorpio began a new Venus cycle, we are being asked to explore new ways of showing up in relationships, and see what changes from there. Venus returning to her Air home sign of Libra offers us an opportunity to access a new and more objective perspective on past and more recent events, while asking us to refine the way we show up in our relationships.

This is a time to pay attention to whether we can remain true to ourselves while being deeply connected to another, notice whether we feel drawn to abandon ourselves and our needs, and to compromise part of ourselves in order to maintain connection. Venus retrograde in Libra asks us to redefine partnership, reassess the agreements in our relationships, and create greater reciprocity and harmony without leaving ourselves behind.
