Venus from Pisces to Aries: Call to Action
Venus’s journey through Pisces, the sign of her traditional exaltation, has been a time of inner exploration and an opportunity to work on our spiritual and relational maturity. We have been asked to keep softening and creating more intentional relationships with ourselves, others, and Life itself. About a month ago, we entered a New Venus Cycle and, for the past two weeks, we have been given opportunities to integrate the lessons of Venus’s recent retrograde.
The Goddess of Love has been traveling together with Mercury and spent a significant amount of time in the late degrees of Pisces, conjunct with Saturn and the Lunar North Node. This configuration has highlighted themes of karmic resolution and spiritual sobriety while urging us to stay in alignment with our core values.
Venus in Pisces is the hopeless romantic, attuned to the highest ideals of love and beauty. During the past weeks, some of us might have experienced moments of disillusionment, where the gap between our fantasies and reality seemed impossible to bridge. These experiences may have brought up feelings of vulnerability and offered us an opportunity to recognize the nature of the illusions we had relied upon. The activation of Saturn brought a much-needed reality check, asking us to get real and urging us to make sure we can discern the difference between our fantasies and ideals and the truth of the present moment.
Venus in Aries and her Post-Shadow phase
After weeks of inner work and internal realignment, Venus’ second ingress into Aries brings a call to action and inspires us to begin moving forward again, this time with more confidence and more self-awareness. In Aries, Venus encourages us to pursue what truly lights us up, to invest in ourselves and our passions, and to trust our desires.
Venus’s post-shadow phase, a time of integration and adjustment following her recent retrograde, ends on May 15. We are being called to act with intention, to initiate from a place of clarity rather than confusion, and to embody the version of ourselves that we birthed during Venus’ recent retrograde, after her descent into the underworld. This is a powerful time for taking initiative in our relationships, begin new creative projects, and explore new approaches to financial matters.
This transit encourages us to make bold, brave choices in life and relationships: it is a wonderful moment to take new risks in love, dare to ask for what we want, and take intentional action toward creating the life we desire.
Venus conjunct Neptune and Chiron, sextile Pluto and Jupiter
As soon as she returns to Aries, Venus crosses Neptune at 01º08’ of the sign. The first Venus-Neptune conjunction in Aries marks a time of spiritual clarity and renewal. This alignment invites us to reflect on whether we may still holding on to old fantasies and impossible ideals, or whether we may be unconsciously deceiving ourselves or others. This conjunction challenges us to honor the Truth of what is, who others are, and who we are, and make choices accordingly.
Venus forms her third and final sextile to Pluto in Aquarius on May 6. Venus and Pluto already aligned on February 3 and March 21, before and during Venus’ recent retrograde. Their final sextile helps us gain clarity about the transformational journey we have been on in the past few weeks and how our way of being in relationship, both with others and with ourselves, has evolved. We will be able to witness and integrate the shifts that occurred in our values and will be asked to make sure we are making choices from an empowered and self-aware place, in alignment with our true, Soul desires.
On June 1, Venus crosses Chiron in the late degrees of Aries. The Venus-Chiron conjunction is an opportunity to confront deep wounds that impact our sense of self-worth, our ability to love ourselves, our belief that we are lovable, and our capacity to stand confidently in our desires and invest in ourselves. This aspect can bring up lingering feelings of not being worthy or good enough as well as opportunities to heal old wounds and ground in a deeper sense of self-worth and self-love.
On June 4, Venus forms a sextile with Jupiter in the late degrees of Gemini. This aspect facilitates optimism, expansion, and generosity: it is an aspect of celebration that reminds us of the importance of enjoying life and appreciating the abundance that is always available. The Venus-Jupiter sextile inspires us to welcome opportunities for growth and stay open to new possibilities, particularly in matters of the heart, in our finances, in our learning endeavors, and in our creative expression.
