On October 26, 05:17 PM —

On October 28, 4:15 PM ET, we experience the last Eclipse of the calendar year, a Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse at 5º08’ Taurus. This event is testing the foundations of our lives and inviting us to question what kind of wealth we are truly after.

We are experiencing the last Eclipse in the sign of the Bull until 2031, which wraps up a year-and-a-half period of Eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio, bringing to closure an evolutionary process that started in January 2022, when the Lunar Nodes entered these signs.

This event will be impactful for everyone, but particularly so for those of us who were born with planets or angles around the 5º of Fixed signs. Those individuals more strongly impacted by the Taurus Lunar Eclipse will most likely experience the closure of a chapter, the clear completion of a phase in their lives. They will be invited to release their attachment to old identities and ways of being, and to allow the old to fall away, to make room for a more prosperous and abundant future.

We invite you to watch our hour long video on our YouTube channel together with Nina where she walks us through the powerful energies of this Lunar Eclipse in Taurus.

Lunar Eclipses: Closing Doors & Leaving the Past Behind

Eclipses stir up our lives and our feelings: they bring things to the surface and catalyze massive changes, beginning or ending key cycles of development in our lives.

Lunar Eclipses are supercharged Full Moons that take place when the Sun and the Moon oppose each other close to the Lunar Nodes, the two points that mark the intersection between the Moon’s orbit and the Ecliptic. Lunar Eclipses mark moments of closure, culmination, and release: they close the door of a chapter of our lives and invite us to let go of what no longer serves us, to leave the past behind.

During Lunar Eclipses, the Moon, the Sun, and the Earth align in a way that allows the Earth’s shadow to partially or totally prevent the sunlight from reaching the Moon. This Lunar Eclipse is a partial one, as the alignment between the luminaries and the Nodes is not tight. The Eclipse will last approximately one and a half hours and will be visible, at least in part, from Europe, Asia, Africa, and from the Eastern parts of the USA, Canada, and South America.

Full Moons always activate two opposing and complementary signs. This month, the Moon in Taurus opposes the Sun in Scorpio: this Eclipse activates the axis of finances and resources, of sensuality and sexuality, and brings our attention to our relationship with holding on and letting go, with building foundations and destroying what we have created.

Lunar Eclipse conjunct the North Node: Redirection and Reorientation

This Eclipse is taking place in the early degrees of Taurus and is connected to the North Node in the late degrees of Aries. The North Node is the point of the Moon’s orbit associated with our evolutionary direction. The sign where the North Node is transiting informs us of an energy that we are encouraged to connect with, embrace, and embody.

The North Node in Aries is pointing at the importance of recovering our connection with our instinct and learning to trust our primal nature. This transit, which began in July, has been inviting us to own our desires, assert ourselves healthily, and listen to our inner voice when it’s time to make decisions rather than looking for guidance or validation outwardly. The Aries North Node encourages us to trust our strength and dare to birth something completely new in the world.

When Eclipses happen close to the North Node, they redirect us and reorient us, guiding us toward alignment. This Lunar Eclipse in Taurus is inviting us to recover our trust in ourselves, rebuild our self-worth and our self-confidence, and move forward with a solid awareness of our values, resources, and skills.

Lunar Eclipse in Taurus square Pluto: Lessons About Impermanence

Taurus is the sign connected to our relationship with our physicality and the Earth, self-worth, receptivity, and self-esteem. These themes influence our relationship with ourselves, which in turn affects our relationships with others, but also our relationship with abundance and our capacity to generate, receive, and hold wealth.

A Yin, Fixed, Earth archetype, the function of Taurus is to build foundations and consolidate what has begun thanks to the impulse of the previous sign, Aries. Taurus is associated with our relationship with pleasure and with the impulse to procreate, the physical aspect of sexuality. A tendency to hoard, accumulate, and an inability to let go are shadow traits connected to a distorted expression of the Taurus archetype.

Scorpio correlates to all processes that involve fusion, osmosis, and merging, and with the emotional and spiritual aspects of sexuality. Scorpio and its modern ruler Pluto are connected to Soul evolution: in its highest expression, they teach us to let go, to shed skin, and to be available to continuously transform. When Pluto and Scorpio energy are not expressed consciously, a need to stay in control and resistance to change generate stagnation. Sexual energy is expressed in a distorted way and used for selfish gains, to manipulate, hurt, and overpower.

The Taurus-Scorpio polarity teach us lessons about impermanence: these signs teach us when it is time to build and when it is time to destroy. This Eclipse, happening in a square aspect to Pluto, is asking us how gracefully we can release both our attachment to what we perceive as secure and our resistance to change.

Lunar Eclipse conjunct Jupiter, opposite Mercury and Mars

As the Lunar Eclipse takes place, the Full Moon is conjunct with Jupiter in Taurus, while the Sun is conjunct with both Mercury and Mars in Scorpio. This configuration supports physical and intellectual dynamism, increases feelings of restlessness and desire for change, and inspires us to cultivate our resourcefulness.

The conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter indicates a stronger desire for expansion, material abundance, and financial security. This aspect brings our attention to the drastic shift in our values and beliefs, especially those surrounding wealth, abundance, self-worth, and security, that has been taking place throughout the last few months.

Jupiter’s opposition to Mars, the Sun, and Mercury can indicate a tendency toward overconfidence, arrogance, excess, and overindulgence. Simultaneously, this configuration inspires us to find the lesson and the deeper meaning behind any challenge and obstacle we may experience these days.

Mars is also very prominent at the time of this lunation and will also be prominent in the upcoming New Moon in Scorpio. The activation of Mars is reminding us to be responsible for our power and for how we channel our energy and our anger. The Moon’s oppositions to Mars and Mercury indicate higher susceptibility to reacting impulsively and letting ourselves be momentarily blinded by our emotions. This configuration is an invitation to be mindful of the consequences of our actions, and be aware of the power of our words and thoughts.

Venus trine Uranus and opposite Neptune

Venus is the planetary ruler of Taurus and observing her condition gives us more information about the energy of this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. As the Eclipse takes place, Venus is in Virgo, forming a trine to Uranus in Taurus and an opposition to Neptune in Pisces.

On the one hand, the Venus-Uranus trine supports our inventiveness and our capacity to generate income in unconventional, unusual ways. This aspect supports our ability to make adjustments in both our work and our relationships that help us find better alignment with our authentic needs, desires, and values. Around this time, we will have chances to take advantage of unexpected and sudden changes in our lives and in our finances as opportunities to access and develop our unrealized potential, new skills, and new talents.

The Venus-Neptune opposition, on the other hand, highlights the importance of making sure we are discerning between reality and fantasy and we are staying grounded, both in relationships and in financial endeavors. This energy asks to be channeled into creative and spiritual pursuits and invites us to cultivate a personal relationship with the transcendental dimension of life.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus: Testing Foundations

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus brings closure to a larger cycle that started with the New Moon in Taurus on May 19, 2023. Something that first emerged back then is maturing, culminating, and blossoming: if you keep a journal, go back to that time and observe what was going on in your life, what was set in motion, and what intentions you set.

This Eclipse offers us an opportunity to release attachments that have been keeping us in a state of stagnation. In particular, we are invited to let go of our attachment to past versions of ourselves, to old values and beliefs, and to ideas of stability and security that are illusory and outdated. This event is motivating us to question the nature of our attachments, encouraging us to reassess our values and priorities, asking us to contemplate what wealth means to us and what kind of wealth we are truly after.

The Lunar Eclipse in Taurus is testing the very foundations our lives have been built upon and is urging us to reconstruct them. The sextile between the Moon in Taurus and Saturn in Pisces is supporting this process, inspiring us to be flexible and compassionate with ourselves as our reality keeps transforming and shifting.

WE LOVE READING YOUR STORIES!

  • Thank you for great information and knowledge on astrology and all the support available from the universe ❤️
But I have to talk for the stones – you recommend stones for healing in many different ways – but the beautiful mountains will slowly disappear if all westerners is to have part of a mountain in the home – I’d rather have the mountains. It’s not okay to be so spiritual that you loose contact with the earth. Do not fuck it up – please 💕

    • I completely agree with you on that! However the old economic model continues to pertain, I guess none of the eclipses have closed this chapter yet. I also prefer to keep nature as is.

  • A lot has shifted and changed in my life since January 2022 (was diagnosed with breast cancer, left a toxic marriage, moved back “home” where my family/support system is, went through 4 surgeries, got a new job, a new place, all while battling for custody of my now 11 year old son who was pleading to talk with the judge herself…the only one who truly had the power to “rescue” him from the horrors going on behind closed doors at his Dad’s place. I found within myself this new found strength, courage, confidence and faith to battle my ex in court without an attorney because I could not afford an attorney and there were none available to me thru other means. Despite my ex currently highering 2 attorneys this time, my son had the opportunity to talk to the judge and in the end of a 4 hour marathon in court, and honestly a nearly 10 year long battle of our lives, WE WON!!! My boy is now with me…and btw, I’m Cancer free. This year has truly been a shift and many changes have taken place. GOOD changes. Feeling an overwhelming sense of blessing and newness. A sluffing away of the old and in with this new chapter of our life.

  • This has been a very transformational year. Very emotional, life changing events. Deep hypnotherapy work has released, healed alot of inner child trauma. Therefore, this article resonates with me very much. I was advised, wrongly, to leave my husband immediately due to abuse. May 18th I did. May 28th I moved back home. During those 10days I realised we both needed healing. Generations of attitudes from his side and generations of spirits stuck, who have passed on, on my side had been effecting our lives up to now. Still work to do, as always. Very grateful for the people with the knowledge to guide us through it all. 🙏
