On June 17, 11:37 AM —

On June 19, 2026, 5:18 PM EST, Chiron leaves Aries and makes his first ingress into Taurus since 1984. We are getting a first taste of the new collective healing journey we are embarking on, one centered around recognizing wounds that keep us disconnected and disembodied and addressing vulnerabilities that impact our self-worth. Chiron in Taurus will ask us to pay attention to how survival fears and feelings of lack and instability affect our choices and keep us stuck in cycles of scarcity. The Wounded Healer will retrograde back to Aries on September 17, 2026, station direct on January 6, 2027, and enter Taurus for good on April 14, 2027. He will then make his first ingress into Gemini on July 19, 2033.

Chiron’s ingress and transit through Taurus are especially significant for people born with planets or angles in Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), and particularly so for those with their natal Chiron in Taurus, who will experience their first Chiron return. They are about to enter a period of their life focused on recognizing and healing long-standing patterns and wounds that impact their self-worth, embodiment, and relationship with stability and material security. They have an opportunity to become aware of where they internalized insecurities around their value, their resources, their bodies, and their ability to create stable foundations for their lives.

Chiron: Our Pain is Our Medicine

Only discovered in 1977, Chiron is a celestial body placed between Saturn and Uranus. Named after the mythological wounded healer and teacher, Chiron in Astrology is connected to our deepest wounds, our most painful vulnerabilities, as well as to the medicine we can offer to the world once we have felt and alchemized our pain. Because of his position between the last planet visible to the naked eye and the first transpersonal planet, Chiron is considered a bridge between the personal and the collective realms and is believed to play a key role in our individuation process.

Chiron is associated with our healing journey, with the process of becoming aware of the connection between the triggers we experience and the wounds we carry. Through Chiron, we learn that some initiations can only happen through pain: by accepting pain as our teacher, we become capable of accessing a kind of wisdom that could not be achieved otherwise. The Wounded Healer teaches us that certain wounds periodically keep opening throughout our lives, and that the goal is not to reach a complete or perfect state of healing but to keep learning from them.

Chiron leaves Aries: the End of a Chapter

Chiron needs 50 years to travel through the entire Zodiac, but his orbit is irregular: he doesn’t spend the same amount of time in each sign. Aries is one of the signs in which he stays the longest: the Wounded Healer made his first ingress into Aries in 2018. Since then, we have been confronted with wounds that impact our ability to assert ourselves, go after what we desire, express our anger, and pursue our personal path with courage.

In Aries, Chiron emphasized tendencies to mistrust our instinct, suppress our desires, and abandon ourselves, challenging us to practice healthy self-assertion and connect with a conscious expression of masculine or Yang energy, no matter our gender. This transit inspired us to recover our trust in our instinct and dare to follow the impulse to act or move in a certain direction, even if we don’t understand it rationally.

Chiron will return to Aries to complete his transit there from September 17, 2026, to April 14, 2027, offering us a final opportunity to tie up loose ends and deal with unfinished business related to the past months and years.

Chiron in Taurus: a New Healing Journey

Chiron’s previous ingress in Taurus happened between May 28, 1976, and October 13, 1976. He then returned to Aries until March 28, 1977: on this date, he began to transit through the sign of the Bull until June 21, 1983. Chiron then returned for a final retrograde in Taurus between November 29, 1983, and April 10, 1984.

During his upcoming journey through the sign of the Bull, Chiron will ask us to look at wounds that impact our self-worth, self-love, and self-value. Throughout the upcoming years, we will have opportunities to heal our relationship with our physical bodies, with pleasure, and with our sensuality. This transit will remind us that our worth is inherent and not something we need to earn through achieving, doing, or being productive. Chiron in Taurus will invite us to cultivate deeper self-love, set boundaries that protect ourselves and our self-esteem, and practice feeling worthy of receiving pleasure, abundance, and love.

This transit will show us all the places where we don’t love ourselves, settle for less, are not in integrity with our values, and fail to take care of our basic physical needs. It will encourage us to connect with the part of ourselves that feels inadequate or “not enough” and heal the past wounds that led us to internalize this belief.

Embodiment in the Age of Technology & the upcoming Chiron-Pluto square

Embodiment, our ability to inhabit our physical bodies and be present with the sensations that arise in each moment, is a theme strongly connected to Taurus. Chiron’s transit through the sign of the Bull will highlight the damage resulting from being disconnected from our physical bodies, asking us to drop back in and feel the pain, physical and otherwise, we have been avoiding through distraction, dissociation, and abuse of technology.

Issues of embodiment and lack of grounding are also related to Pluto’s presence in Aquarius and the collective trend of disconnection from our physicality and Nature, paired with the distortions of our relationship with technology. We are about to experience a Chiron-Pluto square that will be in a tight orb between 2027 and 2029. Moreover, Saturn too will enter Taurus in 2028, and meet Chiron there. In the upcoming years both Chiron and Saturn in Taurus will square Pluto, increasing the pressure to transform outdated systems, build true security, and take radical responsibility for the choices we make in our relationship with our bodies, technology, and Nature.

Chiron in Taurus: Survival, Self-Worth, and Resilience

Chiron enters Taurus shortly after Uranus completed his transit through the sign of the Bull, which lasted roughly seven years. Throughout Uranus’s recent transit through Taurus, many of us have experienced that the rug can be taken from beneath our feet at any moment: we went through a lot of destabilizing events, both collectively and individually, and we learned that the very foundations of our lives can be shaken up at any moment.

Chiron in Taurus will highlight the collective wounds resulting from these recent experiences of radical instability and insecurity, as well as personal traumas of the same kind from our individual past. In the upcoming months and years, we will be asked to recognize and heal wounds that impact our ability to feel stable and secure within ourselves no matter the external circumstances.

While Chiron is in the sign of the Bull, survival fears and issues associated with scarcity and lack will be emphasized. As the world economy and the global socio-political situation changes in fast and unpredictable ways, we will be asked to deepen our capacity to stay grounded, connected with our resources, and develop more resilience, knowing that true stability always comes from within.

This transit will also reveal unhealed pain that impacts our relationship with wealth, abundance, and material security. It will ask us to recognize any scarcity mindset, survival fears, and unconscious assumptions about what we don’t deserve to have, and stop associating our value with our achievements, possessions, or financial status.
