On September 3, 06:22 AM —

On September 7, 2:12 PM EST, a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse occurs at 15º24’ of Pisces: this event marks the completion of a chapter of our lives and asks us to release what has run its course. Around this time, we have an opportunity to create space for integration and closure before the new begins to unfold.

The Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces inaugurates the final Eclipse season of 2025 and will be visible, at least partially, from Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. This event is especially significant for those born with natal placements around the 15º of Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces asks them to let go of what has lost its meaning, trust the flow of life, and cultivate faith and gratitude as they honor the end of a cycle of their lives.

We invite you to watch our hour long video on our YouTube channel together with Nina where she walks us through the powerful energies of this Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces.

Lunar Eclipses: Completion and Release

Twice a year, Eclipses bring a wave of unpredictability that reorganizes our reality, offering us opportunities to let go of old identities and ways of being and quantum leaps into the future. Eclipses always mark significant turning points and shifts of fate. Equally feared and revered, our ancestors recognized their power many centuries ago. They were the first Astronomical phenomena studied by the ancient, and their timing was soon connected with impactful events that affected entire communities and societies.

Lunar Eclipses happen when a Full Moon is partially or totally covered by the shadow of the Earth. These events take place two or, exceptionally, three times per year and require the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth to align in a specific way. A Total Lunar Eclipse is considered a more intense, supercharged Full Moon. The energy of closure, completion, and release is heightened around this time, and the invitation for us is to let go of the old to make space for the new. A chapter of our lives is coming to completion, and something is transforming or ending. As the Moon gets totally eclipsed, we are being asked to look inward, cultivate gratitude for what we learned, and release what is holding us back from moving forward.

Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces conjunct the North Node: Closing Doors to Open New Ones

Lunar Eclipses occur when a Full Moon happens in alignment with the Lunar Nodes, the two points that mark the intersection between the orbit of the Moon and the apparent path of the Sun as seen from our perspective on Earth. The Lunar Nodes are connected with our spiritual and evolutionary journey: they represent two opposing and complementary energies that we are being challenged to balance and harmonize.

The South Node points at where we come from, what we are familiar with, and talents and qualities that we express spontaneously: the sign where the South Node indicates a place where we can get stuck and ways of being that can drain our energy. On the contrary, the North Node represents our evolutionary direction. This energy is unfamiliar and unknown: it asks us to get out of our comfort zone to balance the tendencies inherent within the South Node. When the Nodes are active, it is a period of intensified growth that can bring us powerful karmic lessons and new opportunities for evolution.

This Lunar Eclipse occurs on the Lunar North Node. While Lunar Eclipses are a time to let go of the old and release our attachment to the past, the activation of the North Node indicates the significance of endings as they are necessary to clear space for new beginnings and opportunities. Some doors must be closed for new ones to open. The North Node points at the path we are meant to follow: at this time, moving forward is not possible without farewells, without separating from the known, without leaving something behind.

Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces: Surrender and Let Go Of Control

As the last archetype of the Zodiac wheel, Pisces has to do with the dissolution of the separate sense of self we formed throughout the previous eleven stages. This sign reminds us of the unity of everything that exists. Pisces teaches us that on a higher level, there is no separation, that everything comes to an end, and that every end contains the seeds of a new beginning.

When the energy of Pisces is as potent as it is when a Total Lunar Eclipse happens in the sign, our boundaries are more porous, we are more sensitive to information we usually don’t pick up, and material we normally don’t have access to can filter into our conscious awareness. Our psychic faculties are heightened, and our dream life is more vivid and intense.

These days, we may have a feeling that the ground is disappearing from beneath our feet and that the structures we believed to be solid are not anymore. Something we used to rely on for meaning or stability may dissolve or prove to be not as steady as we thought it would. At this time, it may be necessary to bend to forces beyond our control, accept that there is something bigger and greater than us at play, and make sacrifices we would rather not make.

During his eighteen-month journey through Pisces, the North Node asks us to surrender, to have faith, to move through life without unnecessary force, to release our need for control and distorted ideas about perfection. In Pisces, the North Node points to the importance of trusting our intuition, avoiding overthinking, and harnessing the flow of life to our advantage rather than resisting it or moving against it.

Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

Full Moon opposite Mercury and trine Jupiter

As the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces peaks, Mercury is conjunct with the Sun in Virgo and the Lunar South Node and opposite the Full Moon and the North Node. Mercury is the ruler of the Virgo South Node and is connected to how we are drawn to creating feelings of safety and security in our lives. It points at a general tendency to overthink and over-analyze reality, a need to feel in control, and a desire for perfection, order, and rational understanding.

The Mercury-Moon opposition highlights the polarization between mind and heart, logic and emotion, rationality and intuition. It challenges us to find a way to integrate both sides rather than choosing one and disowning the other. This is a time to question existing ways of thinking, let go of rigid ideas, opinions, and expectations, and discover what happens when we look at our reality from a different perspective.

The Pisces Moon forms a trine with Jupiter in Cancer, the ancient ruler of Pisces, now in Cancer. This is a harmonious aspect that supports our ability to see any crises we may be going through as opportunities. Jupiter’s influence helps us look at the positive aspects of change and endings and relate to the future with optimism and faith.

This alignment facilitates our capacity to harness what we are going through as an opportunity for growth and expansion, and make the most out of any challenges we may be facing. Jupiter inspires us to connect with the bigger picture and seek the deeper meaning and purpose of everything we are going through.

Neptune conjunct Saturn, sextile Pluto and Uranus

Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces and of this Full Moon. His condition gives us more information about the quality of the times we are in. Neptune is now in Aries, in retrograde motion, in a balsamic phase conjunction with Saturn in the late degrees of Pisces and sextile both Pluto in Aquarius and retrograde Uranus in Gemini. Neptune will return to Pisces on October 22 and make his final ingress into Aries on January 26, 2026. On February 20, 2026, Neptune and Saturn will perfect their conjunction at 0º of Aries and begin a new cycle.

Until then, clarity about what is going on may still be elusive, as the energy calls for closure, dissolution, and letting go of the past. These days, we may feel suspended, uncertain about the future and what is coming next. Something is definitely coming to an end, but we are not yet sure about what is beginning, about what is coming next, about where we are going.Meanwhile, the sextiles with Uranus and Pluto, active for several months, are facilitating change and innovation and supporting our capacity to transform our lives and adapt to what happens around us.

Eclipses often bring revelations and moments of clarity that allow us to see the truth of situations we may have resisted acknowledging. This is a time of deep emotional cleansing: hidden feelings may rise to the surface and unconscious patterns may become visible. While the process can feel intense or destabilizing, it ultimately serves to liberate us from what no longer aligns with our growth. Even if we don’t yet see precisely where we are going, we are being asked to trust that we are being guided toward greater authenticity and alignment.
