On February 13, 11:11 AM —

On February 17, 2026, 07:13 AM EST, a powerful New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius inaugurates the New Lunar Year, the Year of the Fire Horse according to Chinese Astrology, as well as the first Eclipse season of 2026. This Eclipse, happening at 28º56’ of the sign of the Water Bearer, is the first one in the sign since 2018: it brings potent turning points in our evolutionary journey and opportunities to quantum leap into a new timeline. This is an invitation for us to plant seeds for a new future. Our Fire Horse Lunar New Year 2026 article and mystery gift is ready for you here.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius will be seen in its totality only from Antarctica, but it will be partially visible from several Southern regions of the world. It is significant for everyone, but particularly so for those born with planets or angles in the late degrees of Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and in the very early degrees of Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). These people are embarking on a new chapter of their journey of personal and spiritual evolution: this Eclipse can bring turning points in their lives that can feel both liberating and destabilizing. They are being asked to step into greater authenticity and trust their inner guidance, which will lead them toward new paths and unfamiliar directions.

We invite you to watch our YouTube energy update video together with Nina where she walks us through the powerful energies of this Solar Eclipse in Aquarius.

Solar Eclipses: Portals to a New Reality

Twice a year, Eclipses open portals to an entirely new reality: these events are gateways to a time of accelerated change, unpredictable transformation, and quantum leaps to a new timeline. Eclipses are potent triggers that activate significant transitions in our lives and initiate us into a new chapter of our evolutionary process, or a deeper spiritual journey.

The ancients were well aware of the power of Eclipses, and they both feared and revered these phenomena, particularly Solar Eclipses, during which the Sun is temporarily obscured, either partially or totally, by the shadow of the Moon. Since the Sun is the Source of life on Earth, this event was considered a bad omen, and in many traditions today it is still advised to stay indoors during a Solar Eclipse, which should, in any case, never be watched with the naked eye.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse taking place on February 17, 2026, is an Annular Solar Eclipse, which means that the Moon’s shadow covers the central part of the Sun, leaving only a “ring of fire” surrounding it. The entire process will unfold during approximately four and a half hours, and the Annular Eclipse will last for roughly one hour.

Solar Eclipse conjunct the North Node: Trusting the Path that Begins to Take Shape

Eclipses take place when the luminaries join or oppose each other while in alignment with the Lunar Nodes, the two opposing points that mark the intersection between the Moon’s orbit and the Ecliptic, the apparent path of the Sun from our perspective on Earth. As they mark the area where Eclipses happen, these points are associated with karma, dharma, and destiny.

The Lunar Nodes are always transiting opposite and complementary signs, and they point at contrasting energies that are meant to be consciously integrated. The South Node is connected to where we come from, what feels familiar to us, tendencies we tend to unconsciously gravitate toward, and places where we get stuck. The North Node’s energy, on the contrary, feels foreign, unfamiliar, and more challenging: its placement informs us of qualities we are asked to cultivate, develop, and embody in order to progress and evolve.

The Lunar Nodes travel backward most of the time, and the North Node is now in the early degrees of Pisces. Since January 11, 2025, the North Node in Pisces has been asking us to learn to surrender, to practice simply being without always doing. As the North Node is now being activated, we are being asked to release our attachment to rigid plans, stop micromanaging life, and have more faith in divine timing and in the intelligence of change itself. This Eclipse conjunct the North Node points at the importance of walking the path that starts to unfold, even if we haven’t fully understood what it is about and where it is leading us.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius: Quantum Leaping into a New Timeline

When an Eclipse happens on the North Node, it points to the direction of both personal and collective evolution. Moreover, Eclipses’ effects unfold for six months: the current Solar Eclipse in Aquarius invites us on a brand new journey of growth, encouraging us to venture into uncharted territory. Whatever we begin now could have a more significant and long-lasting impact than we expect.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius inaugurates an Eclipse season filled with accelerated change and opportunities to start creating the future we envision. The sign of the Water Bearer is all about embracing what makes us unique and connecting with other people who resonate with our authentic selves to generate meaningful social shifts. This Eclipse is an invitation to explore new ways of connecting and collaborating and start creating radically new systems, paradigms, and communities that can foster collective progress and evolution.

This event is also pointing to the need for a drastic change in how we relate to technology, the internet, social media, and AI. Significant developments and discoveries in these areas are likely to occur, new regulations may be implemented, and surprising news may spread quickly all over the world.

New Moon Solar Eclipse square Uranus: Awakenings and Redirections

Tightly squaring Aquarius’s ruler, Uranus, this New Moon Solar Eclipse begins an especially unpredictable month. Eclipses are already unpredictable by design, and particularly so when they happen in a sign like Aquarius. However, the activation of Aquarius’s modern ruler, Uranus, brings this to a whole new level.

Uranus is the planet of awakenings, sudden shocks, and liberation from the known. This planet teaches us to be rebels with a cause, to break free from anything that prevents us from growing, and to revolutionize our lives in a way that is aligned with our uniqueness. Uranus inspires us to become whole, to embrace everything that we are, and to make a meaningful contribution to the collective from that place.

The Sun and the Moon and, more widely, Mars, Venus, and the Moon’s Nodes, are all in a square aspect to Uranus in the late degrees of Taurus. We are navigating an atmosphere of general tension and friction between the familiar and the unknown, the need for stability and the impulse to break free from everything that limits us. This configuration intensifies the sense of uncertainty and instability that Eclipses always bring, while simultaneously offering us new opportunities for awakening and redirection.

New Moon conjunct Mars and Venus: New Opportunities for Relational Maturation

The Sun and the Moon in Aquarius are also widely conjunct both Mars in Aquarius and Venus in Pisces, now exactly conjunct the North Node. Since the New Moon in Sagittarius that took place on December 20, 2025, the relationship planets have been either conjunct or opposite all the New and Full Moons that occurred.

This highlights the fact that, collectively, we are going through a process of relational maturation, change, and transformation of the way we connect, of our boundaries and standards, as well as of how we express our needs, feelings, and desires, and harmonize them with those of others.

Mars and Venus’s activation on this Eclipse suggests that the process will continue to unfold and deepen throughout the upcoming Eclipse season. In particular, Mars being conjunct the Sun and the Moon invites us to take intentional and courageous action in alignment with our evolving values and desires. This is an opportunity to become more aware of how we assert ourselves and show up in conflict, and explore the root of any impulsivity and defensiveness that may emerge with curiosity and a non-judgmental attitude.

Venus’s proximity to the Sun and the Moon and her exact conjunction with the North Node in Pisces emphasize the karmic and evolutionary significance of this moment, particularly in the realm of relationships. This alignment invites us to release outdated ideals and fantasies about love that aren’t grounded in reality and begin creating new relational patterns and dynamics. Venus’s current placement is an invitation to reorient according to higher values and make sure our relationships support our spiritual growth and are aligned with our true needs.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius: Planting Seeds of a New Future

This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius marks a powerful reset in our lives, in how we relate to community, and in our sense of belonging within the collective. It is an opportunity to see patterns that emerge in group settings under a new light and begin to establish new alliances and new ways of connecting and collaborating with others. This Eclipse is an invitation to step away from ways of being and relating that are a result of past conditioning and programming, from inherited roles and ways of participating in community that don’t support our growth.

The seeds we plant around this time have the potential to create revolutionary changes in both our personal lives and the collective. The shifts that we initiate now can open unexpected doors and create unconventional paths forward. This Eclipse is an opportunity to recognize where outdated structures and identities no longer allow us to evolve and an invitation to trust the impulses and desires that begin to take shape, even if we don’t yet see where they are leading us.

Created with intention, alignment, and cosmic wisdom, our 2026 Planners & Calendars are now ready to travel worldwide into the hands they were meant for, and into their forever homes.
