Mercury is stationing direct while opposing retrograde Pluto in Aquarius, sextile Mars in Libra, and trine retrograde Neptune and retrograde Saturn in Aries. All these planets are forming a configuration technically known as a Mystic Rectangle, which consists of two oppositions forming a cross within a rectangle created by the sextiles and trines.
Oppositions are tense aspects while trines and sextiles are harmonious aspects. The opposition between Mercury and Pluto can suggest a tendency toward obsessive and paranoid thinking as well as intellectual power struggles and confrontations. This aspect asks us to go beyond surface-level conversations, go beyond the surface of what is explicitly said, and find the core motivations, desires, and intentions that drive us and others.
The other opposition is between Mars in Libra and Saturn and Neptune in Aries. This opposition highlights challenges that prevent us from taking initiative, acting on our desires, and being decisive, direct, and courageous.
